| What is Powder Coating?
It is a process that takes a fine plastic powder, applies an electrical
charge
to it, then discharges it through a gun onto metal parts.
The coated parts are placed in
an oven and baked, to melt the powder onto the parts.
The result is a coating that is significantly more durable than traditional
paint, and offers a faster turn around since the paint
does not have to dry overnight.
As soon as the parts are cooled they can be assembled.
Powder coating offers an excellent finish that is durable as well as erosion,
corrosion and impact resistant. It uses an environmentally
safe process that already
meets EPA codes.
Now with our automated powder coating line, this method of coating can
be applied to unlimited quantities of items, ranging
from ¼” washers to motorcycle
frames. Our freestanding manual powder coating booth
and large batch oven
allows for items including small equipment (and vehicle)
frames, doors and body
panels.
